I was stunned to hear of Lynette's passing! As her friend and former Browne's Addition neighbor, I immedately flashed back to when I first met her - at a block watch meeting where I was so taken by her spunk, spirit, motivation and quick wit - what
a CLASS ACT this little lady was! Over the years, I knew Lynette I looked forward to her returning from her many travels with stories of such great adventures! She did it her way!
I only saw her fire-breathing mad once - when her red Ford was stolen. Even then, she kept a sense of humor. In 70 years, Lynette set an example for
"living life to its fullest." Carry on, my friend, and may the road keep rising up to meet you.....

Lynette, I am so sorry to hear that you are gone. I only hope that this last and final trip will hold many wonderful adventures for you. When I think of my school years past, you are one of only a few teachers that made a lasting impression on me. Your fire for life, excitement and passion to teach, travel and to share your life experiences, will long be remembered. Not only were you one of the best teachers I and so many others had, you were a dear friend. I only wish we would have connected/visited more often when I was in town. I value and hold dear your optimism and infectious go-get-em' attitude that lives in the memories that are left behind; your smile truly lit up a room and super charged us all. Thank you. Here's one last toast to high heels!
Love always, Lisa Dressel-Ferraro, Shadle Park HS ('86-'88).
