Thursday's opening two perfomances of the second go of the Idaho High School Rodeo Finals are in the books at the Bannock County Fairgrounds in Pocatello, and the strong performances of several locals put them into contention.

Filer's Bailey Tubbs is in first place in the saddle bronc. Kash Wilson of Gooding holds second place in bareback riding, and Gooding's Cy Eames is in third place in steer wrestling. Cody Wadsworth of Kimberly currently holds third place in calf roping. Colton Bedke of Oakley is in fifth place in bull riding.
