Several young men in the Magic Valley area have been called to serve or returned from serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Called to serve:<B>
* Elder Brett Loveless will serve in the Philippines Quezon City Mission.
Loveless is the son of Steve and Shari Loveless of Hansen, an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Hansen High School. He attended the College of Southern Idaho and worked at Shopko.
* Elder Devon Lynn Jenks will serve in the India Bangalore Mission.
Jenks is the son of Dallas and DeeAnn Jenks of Twin Falls and is in the Twin Falls 7th Ward. He has earned his Eagle Scout and Duty to God awards. He graduated in 2007 from Hansen High School, where he was active in basketball and football and was on the honor roll, and attended the College of Southern Idaho for two semesters. He played soccer for Twin Falls High School and with the Twin Falls Rapids for 10 years. He will enter the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Wednesday.
* Elder Jay Miles Naylor will serve in the California San Diego Mission.
Naylor graduated in 2007 from Twin Falls High School, where he was active in student council, Chamber Singers, tennis and soccer, and attended Brigham Young University-Idaho, majoring in business. He has earned his Eagle Scout and Duty to God awards. He is the son of Jerry and Brenda Naylor of Twin Falls and is in the Twin Falls 7th Ward.
Returned from serving:
* Elder Chase Clark served in the West Indies Mission.
Clark is the son of Keith and Bev Ramsey of Burley and Steve and Luanne Clark of Pocatello and is in the Burley 9th Ward. He is a 2005 graduate of Burley High School and an Eagle Scout. He plans to continue his education in the fall at Brigham Young University.
* Elder Jordan Howard served a–Welfare Services–mission at Deseret Industries in Twin Falls.
Howard is the son of Kevin and Nancy Howard of Twin Falls and is in the Twin Falls 7th Ward.
* Elder Nicholas Paul Schenk served in the Japan Sapporo Mission.
Schenk is a 2005 graduate of Twin Falls High School, an Eagle Scout and is in the Twin Falls 15th Ward. He will attend Brigham Young University-Idaho in the fall. His parents are Paul and Robin Schenk of Twin Falls.
