Idaho Dance Theatre opens its 20th anniversary season with the show "Risky Business" at 8 p.m. NOV. 6-9 and at 2 p.m. NOV. 9 at Boise State University's Special Events Center. The 25th annual National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, a week-long festival celebrating the arts of ranching and cowboy culture, will be held JAN. 24-31 at several sites in Elko. The event will feature dozens of performances on six stages by 53 poets, 24 musicians and musical groups; plus exhibits of western art; hands-on workshops in writing, gearmaking and cooking; films about the West; lectures; panel discussions of issues facing the rural West; ranch dances and jam sessions.
