Hailey Hope recently received her Young Womanhood Award through the Young Women's program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
To earn the award, girls ages 12 to 18 set goals in seven value areas - faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works and integrity - and strive to achieve them through church and community service projects.
For her projects, Hope participated in the Youth Cultural Celebration prior to the Twin Falls Idaho Temple dedication, was student body president at Wendell Middle School, participated in a youth choir, organized a modest fashion show and participated in a fitness program.
Hope is the daughter of Doyle and Robyn Hope of Wendell and is in the Wendell 1st Ward, where her leader is Lori Egbert. She is a sophomore at Wendell High School, where she has a 4.0 grade-point average, plays on the basketball team and is statistician for the football team.
