Health fairMagic Valley Health Fair will be held 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Magic Valley Mall in Twin Falls.
The event includes clinical lab work (lipid panel $16, prostate specific antigen $25, and thyroid stimulating hormone $20); $20 flu shots; $40 pneumonia vaccines (certain restrictions apply); free glucose testing and diabetic foot checks; free skin cancer screenings; free pulmonary screenings; free carotid artery screenings (age 60 and older); blood pressure checks; height and weight checks; and information on College of Southern Idaho's Office on Aging senior services.

Activities include free risk assessment screening for balance and fall prevention; educational program to start on a safe and effective walking program for weight reduction or general health; and a bike fit and safety evaluation to properly fit the bike to your body size. Health care conference will be broadcast
Idaho State University Kasiska College of Health Professions will host the 21st annual Idaho Conference on Health Care, Wednesday through Friday, in the Pond Student Union Building on ISU's campus in Pocatello.
Several conference sessions will be broadcast live to Twin Falls through ISU's Distance Learning Network. Twin Falls sessions can be viewed in Rooms C89 and C91 at College of Southern Idaho's Evergreen Building at 315 Falls Avenue. Broadcasts to Twin Falls include:
* Wednesday: 7-9 p.m., Room C91, welcome and keynote presentation, "Beating Obesity: Mission Impossible?" with Michael Dansinger.
* Thursday: 10:45 a.m. to noon., Room C89, "Mindless Eating, Mindless Weight Loss, and 'Secrets' of Sustained Change" with Ron Guymon.
* Friday: 8:30-9:20 a.m., Room C89, "Complementary and Alternative Medicine: A Multicultural Perspective" with Adam Perlman.
