( 3 / 63 )Typical.
Handoff to Ian Johnson left, pitch to Tanyon Bissell on the reverse and Bissell hits Julian Hawkins from 35 yards out to make it 34-10 BSU. That's a triple senior connection, and it's a typical play for the Broncos. The reverse pass may be a trick play for most teams, but for BSU it's buttered bread.
Of course, Ellis Powers finally got his first interception of the season on a tipped by by Byron Hout. (Powers is another senior). The ensuing drive, Moore hit Tommy Gallarda from 16 out to make it 41-10. Brock Jaramillo is kicking PATs. The Broncos scored four touchdowns in 6:40. That's a touchdown every minute and a half. This got ugly quick. Turnovers, special teams, trickeration, Typical.

( 2.6 / 34 )Kyle Wilson returned a punt 90 yards to score his third punt return touchdown of the season. The 90-yarder is the fourth-longest in school history. Quinton Jones ran two 92-yarders back for scores to hold the school record. BSU was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on the celebration.
The hole was so huge on that return. Wilson made the right move, picked up those crackback blocks he needed and used his speed to get into the zone. That's kind of cool, helps his team pull away. This was close at the half, but the two touchdowns scored in the last two possessions have made this one look a lot worse than it did 10 minutes ago.

( 3 / 25 )A simple little read option play, a handoff to Jeremy Avery through a massive hole and the kid was gone, 43 yards to give BSU a 20-10 lead.
That was big, to score on the first drive of the second half. Still, it was just a breakaway score. I wonder how well BSU can actually sustain a drive. Moore is still on fire. He hits those out passes with sure regularity.
That first drive was all Avery and Moore, a signal for youth on senior day.

( 3 / 26 )The Bulldogs just engineered a 12-play, 68-yard drive, finished off by Kevin Goessling's 21-yard field goal. Mike T. Williams went down at the end of the drive. That leaves BSU with only two defensive ends. Sean Bingham may move out, but mostly it will be on Ryan Winterswyk and Byron Hout (who played linebacker most of his career).
The Broncos answered with a 5-play, 29-yard drive capped by Kyle Brotzman's 46-yard field goal. They can't finish a drive today. Luckily (or skillfully) BSU has benefitted from long punt and kickoff returns by Kyle Wilson and Doug Martin.
13-10.
