CSI softball holds player camp, coach clinic
TWIN FALLS — The College of Southern Idaho softball program will hold two instructional events in December, a camp for players and a clinic for coaches.
The player camp runs from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, and 9 a.m to noon and 1 p.m. to 4, Saturday, Dec. 5. It is for players in grades seven through 12.
The coaches’ clinic will run from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, and is for high school, travel team, or rec team coaches
CSI head coach Nick Baumert, assistant Debbie Dodds, volunteer coaches Desi Thomson and Courtney Dale and the 2009-10 Golden Eagles squad will instruct. University of Utah pitching coach Cody Thomson and San Diego State University assistant coach Stacey Nuveman, a three-time Olympian, will also be in attendance.

NBA D-League coming to Burley
The Idaho Stampede and the Utah Flash of the NBA Development League will play an exhibition game Monday, Nov. 23, at Burley High School. Doors open at 6 p.m., game tips off at 7 p.m.

Pressbox Sports Bar to carry Montana-Montana State game
TWIN FALLS — The 109th meeting of the University of Montana and Montana State football teams will be televised at the Pressbox Sports Bar in Twin Falls at noon, Saturday.

TWIN FALLS — The Boys and Girls Club (999 Frontier Rd.) will hold open gym nights for high school students from 8 to 10 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tri-Cities holds hoops sign-ups

Burley G.C. offers winter rates
BURLEY — Burley Golf Course is now offering winter rates. Green fees will be $7 for nine holes and $12 for 18. Carts are $6 per nine holes per person. The course will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

CSI holds annual baseball camp
TWIN FALLS — The annual Southern Idaho Baseball Camp will be held Dec. 27-29 at the College of Southern Idaho. The instructional camp focus on hitting, fielding, catching and pitching. The staff includes college and professional coaches and players.

Mini-Cassia Turkey Trot planned
BURLEY — The Mini-Cassia Turkey Trot, a 5K run or walk, will be held Thursday, Nov. 26. Check-in will be from 8 to 8:45 a.m., at West Minico Middle School with the race beginning at 9. Harlem Ambassadors come to CRHS
TWIN FALLS — The Harlem Ambassadors basketball team will play at 7 p.m., Nov. 18, at Canyon Ridge High School in Twin Falls. Proceeds benefit the local Habitat for Humanity. The Ambassadors, a traveling team akin to the Harlem Globetrotters, will face a team of local community members and will be available for autographs following the game.

GOODING — The Gooding Indoor Pool is now open. Adult lap swim will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with open swim on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m., and Monday and Friday from 7 to 8:45 p.m.

TWIN FALLS — Twin Falls Parks and Recreation will hold a preschool basketball program for boys and girls ages 4-5. The program will run on Saturdays from 2 to 2:45 p.m., through Dec. 5 and will introduce fundamentals of basketball in a non-competitive environment. The cost is $25 for those in the city limits and $35 outside city limits.

Funds sought to improve JHS field
JEROME — Jerome High School senior Mackenzie Ingraham is leading a project to raise money to install artificial turf at the Tigers’ football stadium to benefit the football and soccer programs.
